Here are a few key tips to help you get the most out of these pages<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Viewing_Totals_and_Net_Balances_for_Reconciliation\"><\/span>Viewing Totals and Net Balances for Reconciliation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are looking for a view like legacy FAMIS screens used for reconciliation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the <strong>SL-SA Summary<\/strong> page<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your <strong>Account and Subsidiary Account (SA)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch to the <strong>By Budget Pool<\/strong> view.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This view provides totals and net balance details comparable to those previously available on legacy screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Understanding_Account_Totals_in_Summary_Views\"><\/span>Understanding Account Totals in Summary Views<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Account totals are already available in the <strong>SL-SA Summary<\/strong> by using the <strong>By Budget Pool<\/strong> view. This view includes the same overall account balance information alongside budget-level detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Year_Types_Fiscal_Year_Project_Year_etc\"><\/span>Using Year Types (Fiscal Year, Project Year, etc.)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>SL-SA Summary<\/strong> page supports multiple year perspectives when you use the <strong>Year Type<\/strong> field to switch between available year types. This allows you to quickly review balances across fiscal periods without leaving the page.\u00a0Inception to Date and Project Year will be available only for accounts marked with the <strong>Project<\/strong> Year-end flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Customizing_Your_Transaction_Views\"><\/span>Customizing Your Transaction Views<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SL-SA transaction grid is designed to be flexible and user-configurable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">You can <strong>add columns<\/strong> that are not included in the default view (e.g., Offset Account).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">Customized views <strong>persist for future use<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">Customized views are included when you <strong>download data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows you to tailor the transaction view to match your department\u2019s needs or replicate older layouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Filtering_and_Searching_Transactions\"><\/span>Filtering and Searching Transactions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Filtering within the <strong>SL-SA Transactions<\/strong> page has been streamlined:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">Filters are now available directly in the <strong>column headers<\/strong>. The <strong>inverted triangle icon<\/strong> in a column can be clicked to select and apply filters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">Filters include <strong>Subcode<\/strong> and other available column attributes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more targeted subcode searches, you can also use the <strong>Subcode Inquiry<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Exporting_and_Printing_Data\"><\/span>Exporting and Printing Data<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FAMIS<\/strong><em>web<\/em> provides multiple ways to capture and share SL-SA data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>Excel export (.xlsx)<\/strong> is available for transaction and summary data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">A <strong>PDF download option<\/strong> is available on the <strong>SL-SA Summary<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">Additional enhancements are in progress to extend PDF download functionality to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SL-SA Transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SL-SA Account Statement pages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\">For quick printing, you can use Print to PDF in your browser to capture a formatted version of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Working_Across_Pages_Efficiently\"><\/span>Working Across Pages Efficiently<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navigation in <strong>FAMIS<\/strong><em>web<\/em> is intentionally designed without embedded tabs. Given technical constraints, we were unable to port those lists, so you will need to create your My Account lists in <strong>FAMIS<\/strong><em>web<\/em>. However, we have improved both the experience and process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Creating_a_new_list_directly_from_Account_search_results\"><\/span>Creating a new list directly from Account search results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once you have performed an Account search, in the Search results section (the grid), click the checkbox(es) on the left to add or remove your selection from My Accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Add to My Accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a pre-existing My Accounts list from the dropdown or create a new list by selecting + Add to new list, then Save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Creating_new_lists_directly_from_the_My_Accounts_page\"><\/span>Creating new lists directly from the My Accounts page<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the Add a list + button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the Fiscal year, enter a List name (both required) and include a Description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Actions column, select the check mark. You now have a list you can add accounts to from several pages throughout <strong>FAMIS<\/strong><em>web<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"My_Accounts_%E2%80%93_access_and_updated_features_functions\"><\/span>My Accounts \u2013 access and updated features \/ functions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>Access My Accounts from the main menu<\/strong>: Select Account oversight, and in the Lookup section, select My Accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>Access My Accounts from any page<\/strong>: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner, then select My Accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>From the My Accounts Actions column<\/strong>: You can Add accounts and Delete, Rename or Download your list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>From the far-left column<\/strong>: You can drag and drop your lists in any order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-left:25px\"><strong>Lists can cross multiple members<\/strong>: Lists can also include GLs and SL-SAs; just be aware that the columns differ significantly for these account types.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Users have reported being unable to find their Canopy My Account lists in FAMISweb.
