This created a unique situation for employer GIP payments on state funds. The employer GIP payments were charged based on the pay period, rather than the pay date, which resulted in <em>any state-paid employer GIP payments being charged to FY 2024 funds instead of FY 2025 funds<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FAMIS Services is in the process of correcting this, but when PCTs were opened on Monday (09\/09), the ramifications of PCTs on payroll for the pay period ending 08\/31\/2024 were not considered. While not ideal, FAMIS Services are shutting down PCT creation until GIPs are corrected for this pay period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approvers in the PCT Processing Offices are asked to reject any PCT that is in flight for the pay period ending 08\/31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FAMIS Services apologizes for the late notice and understands that this temporary solution is not ideal, but it is the best action at this point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pay period for the 09\/06 biweekly ended on 08\/31 and therefore did not include any September dates. SOBA has reversed the request to require Function codes on all GL accounts.\u00a0 They will work through any issues in OneStream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Function\/Effort Code combinations are posted to the FAMIS website. <a href=\"https:\/\/tamuserp2.wpengine.com\/famis\/reference\/valid-effort-function-code-combinations\/\">https:\/\/tamuserp2.wpengine.com\/famis\/reference\/valid-effort-function-code-combinations\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The only valid Year-End Process Flag on GL Accounts Only is now &#8220;F-Fiscal Year.&#8221;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>P-Project has never worked properly for GLs and has caused some issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The other options, E-Encumbrance Only (SLs Only) and T-Transfer BBA (SLs Only), apply only to SL Accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The database for any GLs with a &#8220;P&#8221; flag was updated to an &#8220;F&#8221; in FY 2024 and 2025, and we have notified the affected members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Canopy\"><\/span>Canopy<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master Vendor search was corrected to show FAMIS Master Vendors, not Buy A&amp;M Master Vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Net Funding Calculator was removed. This feature did not work properly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employee information page was added.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User Profile: the email field can no longer be updated by users; it feeds from Workday. If the email is incorrect, correct it in Workday and it will update on the User Profile.\u00a0This email should be your official email since FAMIS pulls from the User Profile for notifications.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also applies to the &#8220;PERS&#8221; pop-up on Screen 001 in 3270 as well. Users are no longer able to edit the email field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FAMIS Security Administrators also have the ability to make these changes on Screen 850.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Payroll\"><\/span>Payroll<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Summer GIP process was changed to use a different percentage for Graduate Assistants to determine where to charge summer GIP. This has been corrected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Title codes on Screens 764 and 850 were using the pre-Workday title code table for validations. If the invoice number is greater than 14 characters, it will be rejected, and an error message will be sent to AggieBuy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For invoices paid by JaeggarPay, we have increased the number of lines on the prepaid vouchers to 60.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Budgets\"><\/span>Budgets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For accounts with Salary Savings accounts entered on Screen 8 or 52, we have added an option to not make budget transfers on the daily salary encumbrance entries (FBPU516). Transfers will still occur with the monthly Salary Savings entries (FBPR050). The additional fiscal year will be available to any user who can create a PCT for that member; approvers in the Processing Office must be aware of this extension and reject any PCTs that were not part of the need for the extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain the extension by submitting a <a href=\"https:\/\/tamuserp2.wpengine.com\/famis\/services\/change-enhancement-request\/\">Change \/ Enhancement Request<\/a>.
